1. Fall Leaves – Susan Brubaker Knapp
Skill Level: Beginner
In this class, you’ll be painting Tyvek, then cutting out leaf shapes and stitching them down. Next, we will heat the Tyvek pieces so that they disintegrate in places, showing the background fabric. Then we will quilt the piece with free-motion quilting doodles. A fun and easy project, and a great introduction to using Tyvek in art quilts.    Kit $10.00   Supply List

2. Wheel of Scrap – J. Michelle Watts
Skill Level: Beginner

Come let me take the mystery out of piecing beautiful circles with the 9° Circle Wedge Ruler. Use all the left over strips sitting on your shelves to make these wonderful pieced circles. You can use strips in all lengths and widths for this easy to piece quilt. These are BIG blocks. Make one block for a wall hanging or three blocks for a larger quilt. Scrap borders can also be added.  We will discuss different layouts, piecing and quilting.This quilt is even jelly roll friendly!

Use a large print to make this stunning quilt. Simple piecing, no Y seams. Add cubes to the one-block-wonder quilt.

4. Tuffet, Tuffet, Who Wants a Tuffet? – Deb Schulz

Create a one-of-a-kind tuffet (a low seat or stool) using a kit. Add some whimsey to your home and have fun in this class. Kit $140.00

5 .Make It, Take It, Swap It –

Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Make several simple quilt blocks using scrappy fabric. These will be wrapped and swapped. There will be prizes, games and surprises. No pattern required but there is a $5 supply and instruction fee.

6. Chopstsicks – Robin Dempsey
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

This is an easy, modern quilt project utilizing a 60-degree ruler (Creative Grid recommended).   Choose between a baby or lap quilt.    Supply List

7. Disappearing Hour Glass & Nine Patch – Connie Dilts
Skill Level: All
This star quilt is made with a series of steps of sewing, cutting and turning to establish “an easy to sew but looks hard to do star block” beginning with 10″ squares. Positioning these squares in different ways produces different designs. This project will use 4 disappearing hour glass squares and a small border to make a table top quilt. Finished size 27″x27″. The class participants will also experiment with cutting and turning simple 9-patch squares into their own unique designs.     Supply List

8. In My Sewing Room – Susan Garrity
Skill Level:  Beginner

This quick, fun wall hanging says you don’t have any UFO’s in your sewing room, just unique fabric originals (ok, so they are waiting to be finished!). Measuring approximately 19″ x 13″, you will assemble the background in class, cut out your space ship, and fuse the supplied, precut letters on the background. We will use Ricky Tim’s method of “birthing” a quilt so you can start quilting in class. Letters will be provided (on a fusible black fabric) but everything else is your color Choice!   Supply List

Use basic skills to create this charming quilt. Precut layer cake fabrics may be used.

A quilt-as-you-go quilt requiring no binding or finishing edge. Your project can be as small as a placemat or a large quilt. The front and back have completely different designs. Circles are impressive and easy.

The subtle color variations in this quilt, made of squares and rectangles, trick the eye into seeing curves.  This quilt has movement and simplicity.  The quilt is from the book Modern Neutrals  by Amy Ellis which is required for this class and will be available for purchase in the class.    Supply List (Fabrics)
