  1. Susan Cleveland – Piping Hot Binding
    Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Expert
    Add spark and a professional finish to any style piece. Every detail of binding and tiny perfect piping will be covered in class with step-by-step demos and printed instructions. Machine differences will be addressed so students will be successful with their own machines. Students work on their practice piece to achieve making perfect piping, preparing the quilt, applying piping, applying binding, mitering corners, joining tails, and finishing for a show-quality back. Variations will be on display and discussed. Many major award-winners are using this technique to achieve stunning results!

2. Karen Eckmeier – Color Twists and Leaves Supply List
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Ease into gentle free-form topstitched curves in this technique and design workshop. We will make abstract flowers that twist round and round and pairs of Layered Leaves embellished with yarn. Then experiment with different combinations to see which design layouts appeal best to you for making your choice of a wall hanging, table runner, table topper, a bag or the beginnings of a quilt top.

3. Emily Taylor – Fabric Collage Supply List
Skill Level: All
Collage quilts are a bit like impressionist paintings– they are successful when the artist (quilter)  understands the interplay of value and color in a composition.  My collage quilt patterns start with a gray-tone panel onto which pieces of fabric are adhered.  This panel makes it easy to understand where values should change to create  a stunning collage quilt.  You will have a choice of two designs. Pattern $25.

4. Luanne Roberts – Beyond the Blanket Stitch
Skill Level: All
If you love wool applique, this is the class for you. We will be using a pattern by Carried Away Designs to create a beautiful wall hanging in two colorways, Summer, with a beautiful fuchsia poppy and Fall, with a gorgeous teal poppy. Combining basic embroidery stitches can give texture and dimension to the wool pieces. The kit includes the $9.00 pattern, all the wool, all the thread, variegated perle cotton, needles, border fabric and stitch guide. Everything will be cut out and ready for stitching! The focus will be on stitching, no prep time in class.  Please bring small scissors and extra lighting if you need it. Finished size approximately 15” X 18”  I will contact each student ahead of time for color selection. Get ready, get set for a fun time with wool and embroidery!! Kit $40.

5. Michele Everts – Dogwood Placemats (Paper Piecing)
Skill Level: All
Skill Level:  All Quilters will learn techniques to quickly cut out foundation and template papers and different types of papers that Judy Niemeyer utilizes in her patterns, basic paper-piecing techniques, T-templates and registration points in Judy’s patterns.  An applique technique for the middle of the flower will be demonstrated.  Kit $35.26.

6. Daenette More – Sunset Blooms Supply List
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
This quilt, made with a panel fabric, is a beautiful rendition of Dresden plate blocks with a window lattice and cornerstones. The Dresden blade template is included in the pattern. Let’s transform some of those old panels in your stash or this year’s newest ones into a stunning quilt. Size: 50 1⁄4”x 57 1⁄2”

7. Marla Marx – Petal Pizzazz Supply List
Skill Level: All
Petal Pizazz was picked to match the 2020 Theme “Flower Power”. This class will use Phillips Fiber Art Ruler to make the above table runner. Pattern and ruler will be available for $20 from the instructor. (Ruler includes a bonus pattern.)

8. Bobbi Clark –  –  Wyoming Wall Hanging Supply List
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Have you always wanted to learn to make a perfect braid, to enhance the WOW factor of any quilt?   This is the class for you!   We will make this Wyoming wallhanging.  You will get a bonus tablerunner from your scraps.  There are many other ideas and ways to use a braid.

9. Kaye Evans – Lone Star Revisited (2-Day Class) Supply List
Skill Level: Intermediate
If you love the Lone Star, but are afraid to make one because you see all the matched intersections and set in seams, this is the class for you.  Would you like to learn a painless way to assemble this star and express your own creativity while doing so? Select fun scrap fabrics from your stash or purchase new fabrics for the scrappy star. Jelly rolls also work well for this class. A short trunk show will complete this class.

10. Robin Dempsey – Daydream Quilt (2-Day Class) Supply List
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
This is a wonderful pattern designed by Natalie Crabtree of Windham Fabrics to feature the Fantasy fabric collection by Sally Kelly. The pattern was a free computer download and I have obtained permission to provide it to you for this class. The quilt will finish at approximately 81 1⁄2” x 81 1⁄2”. This class is two days to allow for prep, techniques and tips, and time to sew! To successfully participate in this class you must have a good working knowledge of your sewing machine and a general understanding of a 1⁄4” inch seam allowance, rotary cutting, and have experience piecing.
