This is a fun design as you go quilt! You can audition the moon colors and sizes along the way, providing the opportunity to make changes well into the project. Follow the pattern exactly or make it your own! Easy tips and techniques will inspire you along the way to create your  own awesome quilt! Pattern comes with templates so you may not need the speciality ruler. You will learn ways to use circles along with an understanding  of how to sew circles and use them in your quilts. This is a two-part class. The first half of the day will be dedicated to learning the sewing technique. We will be working on Land That I Love, which I designed just for this class. In the afternoon we will be learning how to break up a design so it can be sewn using this technique. You will be provided with a packet of designs. They start out simple and gradually become more difficult. The goal of this design portion of the class is to make you more comfortable designing your own wall hanging.

Take the mystery out of making a beautiful traditional Temari ball. Learn how to construct the ball using both traditional rice hulls and less traditional modern construction, simple and effective ways to divide the ball, the basic stitch and the Kiku stitch, how to make an obi band and how to weave the threads to make a more complex-looking design. This is a hands-on class.

Come spend the day learning to quilt your projects using Free Motion Quilting on your domestic machine! The first part of the class will focus on repetition and learning the basics. Part two will allow students to “play on their domestic machines! Remember, these are just for practice! Plan on having fun, staying relaxed, and laughing! We are going to “train our brains!”  Fortunately the quilt police won’t see these!

What quilter doesn’t need a pair of patchwork earrings?!  In this class, the student will learn foundation paper piecing then apply that technique to produce mini quilt designs. Those designs will then be assembled in the student’s choice of either walnut (darker) or eucalyptus (lighter) colored laser-cut wooden frames. Four designs are available for these approximately 2”x2” finished earrings with 20mm surgical stainless-steel hoops. Design selections include,  A.) Half Moon-New York Beauty B.) Rectangular-Flying Geese C.) Circle-Log Cabin D.) Hexagon-Pineapple.  Contact instructor for your wood color choice and the earring design selection at time of registration. This class will introduce the student to the technique of foundation paper piecing, then apply that technique to produce mini quilt designs. Those designs will then be assembled into laser-cut wooden earring frames.
