History
The award was initiated in 2004 with a memorial donation of $75 by the family of Marie Spencer Bartley.
Marie Spencer Bartley owned Spencer’s Fabric and was a friend and member of WSQG.
The Board decided to continue this award as an annual recognition of members who have made significant contributions to the art of quilting.
