23. Wild Women Don’t Get the Blues – Karen K. Stone
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Patchwork, wonderful color, and wild friends – what could be better? Paper-foundation piecing Karen’s original way – streamlined and efficient. Also, individualized interpretive color talk. Pattern pages provided.
Supply list: 15-20 fat quarters that you love and want to work with, perhaps including one or more interesting focus fabrics that tie everything together. Also, fabric scissors, paper scissors, piecing thread.

24. Disappearing Dresdens – Susan Cleveland
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Double points put a contemporary spin on this long-time favorite and they eliminate the need for the traditional appliqued circle in the center of each circle! Using quarter-circle, half-circle, and three-quarter-circle units adds another interesting bit. Learn Susan’s tips for speedily turning the wedge points with the Prairie Pointer Tool and use tricky piecing to assemble the arcs, circle and background. Points are three dimensional and design possibilities are endless. Finished quilt is 27”x 24”

25. Feathered Star – Kaye Evans

Join Kaye in making this Feathered Star quilt. Use the center to showcase a big print fabric or panel. This is a stunner! This beautiful 38” star can be made with a pieced center or some wonderful, luscious fabric cut to size like Kaye did in the class sample. This quilt requires precision piecing so it is not a beginner project, but is for a more accurate piecer with sewing experience.

26. Painting, Couching and Quilting, Oh My! – Ruth Davis

Join Ruth in this fun class using acrylic paints, textile medium, and yarn. We will begin by painting prior to lunch and then Ruth will demonstrate how to couch yarn onto painted fabric that has been allowed to dry. Come and learn these creative techniques and see how they can enhance your quilts.

28. Skylark – Lauren Andrist
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
The Skylark is made with 10” squares, great use of that Layer cake you picked up. Main technique is machine applique. You can make the Table runner or the Quilt. The Table runner makes up very fast and you should have it done and ready for quilting by the end of the class. Lots of options and fun when you are deciding on how you want to design your feather. You can use seasonal prints, (Fall, Christmas, Halloween, Winter) or a grouping of batiks or other lovely cottons. Think about using a print background and then tonal colors for the feathers for a different and unique look.
